Have a BT45 Bridgestone on the front (of course...

), not too keen on the level of grip, seems especially nervous in the wet?? Have checked the pressure, wheel & head bearings, etc...
Has anyone tried Michelin Pilots?? If so which ones and what were your findings??
Any other sticky choices in a 100/90 16"?? I dont mind shelling out for tyres, is a lot cheaper than plastics.... :D

I've had good feel from the Avon Roadrider's I have on mine. Got them front and rear. A more expensive choice would be the Pirelli Sport Demon's. I wasn't keen after having poor Pirelli's on the motor car but I gather their bike tyres are much better.

I have some Maxxis tyres on mine? Presume they are cheap, almost worn them out now but it handles well on them
Although the back is a 140 for some reason

Loving the BT45's in the dry - however in the wet they are a terrible tyre! Am commuting so will need a good wet weather tyre after this long hot dusty summer we are having....

+1 on that
BT45's when warm in the dry are fantastic, they really stick well. Though when cool and in the wet they don't fill me with confidence.

I love BT45's, got them on the VFR750, ace wet or dry.
BUT may well be the extra weight of the 750 gets them to work when wet, the far lighter 400 may suffer.

How odd.
I have to agree with druid on this.
I'm still using my 24 as a runaround at the moment till money permits the trackday conversion and having recently put a set of 45's on it as my Maxxis were screwed (according to the DOT date code they were made in 1987 so they needed changing anyway

)
Anyways, run them in now and it was chucking it down yesterday and I was still scraping pegs when I hit a bend a bit too fast, bike felt proper stable
How do you have the suspension set up on the bike?
I have the max 11psi in the front forks and the rear set to stiiiiffff! :)
Mind you the rear will be junked when I put the 250 adjustable shock on.
