Right well lurked on the forum over the past few months drooling over some of the brilliant projects people have posted up, and keeping my eye out for a decent 'off the road' bike that i could try and bring back to its better days!

Well finally I have one, and im going to keep this thread up to date with my progress...

So to start i guess....

I managed to come across a 1991 NC30 had been track faired so no original fairing over than the mud guard, (track faring for sale if an interest) but under the fairing the bike looked a solid base, has been down on one side gently so a new right engine case will be sorced at some point.

But the bike had been running but on my arival it wasnt unfortunatley, so I thought ill take my chances Trust the guy that it starts. I managed to get it for £500 in the end, in my eyes not a bad deal at all....

So Here it was on returning back....

There is a fair list of bits I need like a full fairing set minus mud guard.

So far I have got a Left mid, and a not great nick rear section, Ogt some plastex which i feel ill be spending alot of time with!!

Well the big bonus is after alot of electrical testing and messing about and mainly a bit of a kick in the right direction from a ver decent chap on here (medium/rare steak avi, sorry cant remeber his screen name) he pointed me in the direction of the plugs and how easily they are destroyed, well £34 later and 2 days they turned up and to my suprise literally started on the button!

The bonus is the engine sounds sweet as, and the art can sounds exactly as i was hoping pretty deep! I have already got some bits from Geoff on here who i have to say provided a superb service from communication to packaging! will certainly be using him again!

grabbed these to re fill after i flush the system...

I have a friend who is a sprayer by trade, so I am awaiting him to pop round and take alook at the colour scheme i want to go for.....

Question presuming this is the paint codes? It says R/W/B on the log book.. this on the undertray:
Image

I really want it to be the following scheme as its this bike that got me hooked on the NC in the first place, so someone break the news to me..... I really want to match the log book and it to be as original as possible!
Image

Anyhow i wont go on too much but im hoping to strip some bits tomorrow.... The plan initially is to clean the bike up get all the fairing done and use it a bit this summer and then completely strip it over the winter.

I am not fully licenced yet, Mod1 this week.......

having read a website with the colour codes for each model, it would appear that your bike(s undertray) was originally your dream colours
