Can the thin nut behind the large loose one be un-screwed and removed or is will it be crimped on etc?

Im putting the line through the swing arm. I know you can do it without removing the joint but thought it may look neater with a smaller holes in the swinger.

no it cannot be removed,

i did a 20mm Dia Hole, pm me your address and ill post you some 20mm Black Rubber Grommets,

make sure before you drill the holes you do it in the right place! most importantly the hub end one!

Since you will be needing the hose shortened anyway... why not hack that end off, and use one of these?

I don't think it's a nut! It's part of the fitting; it's hexagonal so's it's easier to assemble, you tighten the big nut against it when you fit the banjo.

It can be removed but you'll need a new olive and the fitting to be remade. TBH I'd rather have a bigger hole in the swingarm, than to fiddle with a factory fitting.

the Goodridge NC30 Hose wont need shortening, mine didnt its just the right length youll see in my pics of my rebuild.

MAY i ask the advantages of routing the rear line this way?? i bought some HEL lines and routed normally where the old went, brake works good and looks fine. just curiouse really??

Cosmetic i guess, but i did want rid of the hideous honda chain guard, but now i have a Carbon Hugger, so im back to were i started i guess.

Tht's all. In fact it'll be worse performance wise because it's a pig to bleed a line with so many ups and downs, but it really does look aces.
