How to transport a bike in a van? advice/instructions please
Hi,
I need to move my non starting nc30 quite a distance so I thought it would be best to hire a van and do it. But I have never done this so could do with some advice, mainly being what harnesses do I need and where to get them from. But if you could walk me through the whole process I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ramon

Re: How to transport a bike in a van? advice/instructions pl
I've used paddock stands in the past and some ratchet strops.
Pop the bike in the Front wheel in first.
Put the rear stand in only - then use a ratchet strop on each side through the pillion pegs or subframe and tighten it down to secure points on the van floor - compressing the suspension slightly.
For the front end I used a couple more straps around the forks just above the yokes and again tied them off to secure points on the van floor.
I gave it bit of a wobble to try to move it and it didn't.
At points along the route I would stop and check it was still secure. Did 250 miles like this and no problems.
Hope this helps you out?

That's great news, thanks. I have the paddock stand already so just need the straps. It's making sense though so thanks a lot
