You can use a socket that is the same size as the bearing as a drift to knock it.

Or you can get creative

Its a shit job, the double bearing a piece of piss but the roller bearing is............................... well a cunt is the only word i can use, its fucking hard work, in the end i split it & got it out that way - not an easy task but would be much easier with a dremel.

i have a dremmel just need to find the right size cutting disc , i got a few discs but i think they might be a tad big , will get a better idea on a good size when i get to that stage, im thinking this and the headset will be the crappest bit to do, but they need to come out before they go to the powdercoaters so it has to be done , ill have a good go at it , but if the worst comes to the worst ill pop it down me mates , he owns bike-aid superbike workshop in trowbridge im sure he'll have the kit to get it out if i cant, but will try myself first , this brings me to my next question , taper or normal type for headstock ?? whats the verdict

Steering head bearing races will tap out easily with a punch. swinging arm needle rollers are a pain. Take all rollers out and then use a dremmel with a stone on and slit the bearing race and it will come out easily. To replace the bearing put it in the freezer over night and pour a couple of kettles of hot water on the swinging arm and then the bearing should slide in easy if you get it square.Taper for the headstock !!

Good luck
