Few Q's

Coolant - is the old blue stuff ok? I'm sure I heard somewhere it's no good for bike engines. Got a new rick Oliver bottom rad on the way so will need to replace it.

Fuel filter - shouldn't there be one? I just drained my tank and a load of crap came out and as far as I know there's no filtration from the tap to the carbs

General consensus is that blue is fine, as long as you follow regular change-out timings.
Read this thread;

The fuel filter is part of the Fuel Valve Cock Assembly inside the tank (Item 2 on here - sorry, I don't know the Part No. as it isn't called out in the workshop manual, or the parts manual, but I'm sure someone at David Silver Spares or Lings, or similar could help you out, if you wanted a new one);

Hope this helps
