anyone know where to get a 33bhp restrictor for an nc30

Theres a few places mate, some people take there bikes to a garage and they will sort it all out for you, but it can get costly, i got quoted £250 including labour and the washers from my local dealer. But to be honest you can have a look around on ebay and pick them up for around £30 and fit them yourself, its quite a simple job and can be done with the help of a haynes manual.

Oh and dont beleve the crap alot of dealers and garages will tell you that you have to have a new set of restrictors and paperwork its bull, MCN did a report and asked the police and insurance companies weather they needed proof and they all said no as long as the bike is restricted to 33bhp then you have nothing to worry about, but insurance companies will check in the event of a claim and so can the police get your bike checked if they suspect something fishy. if i were you id pick up a cheap set fit them yourself or ask someone here if they'd be willing to help out if your not sure how, and then get a dyno printout showing the 33bhp just to show the police if you ever get stopped and sometimes insurers will ask for some kind of proof aswell so you could just send a copy of your dyno to them. Hope this all helps.

thanks but there are none on ebay at the minute as thats the first place i looked and cant seem to find them for sale on the internet, any other sugestion of where to get them and how much will a dyno cost

I'm sure someone on here will spot this thread and get the micrometer out to measure the dimensions of the washers.

Can't wait to remove mine in a few months' time.
