Not a lot to see at the moment! I saw a cheap nc30 frame and sub frame on ebay and bought it for the sum of £26. Not really decided what to do with it yet, but have a few ideas.





I then started looking for a swinging arm and put an offer in for one on ebay with a cheeky bid of £40 not expecting to get it I bid on another one that was in better condition and had pretty much everything required for the back end to be fitted including the shock and won that for £65. Then the other offer was accepted and so I have two swinging arms.



The one that was in better condition had a knackered adjuster on the hub so that will be replaced by the one on the other swinging arm which is mint.



I have decided to make one good one and put it on the frame and fit the other one to an RGv frame I have laying around. This will keep me quiet for a bit, while I work out what to do with them both!

Decided to go with the VFR 750 engine in it. Done a quick search and seen one that has been done already but there isnt much info on it, so I guess I will be starting from scratch. I will go with the RC24 engine which is the first generation of the VFR 750s and starngley made more power than the later ones. I have put a cheeky offer on a set of carbs and airbox to get started and will look at getting the engine sorted when I have a rolling chassis.

Now its getting very interesting!!

I thought you were just doing a standard build! But with the 750 engine it should be mint!

Lots of photos please as you go, as its something a few of us on here are interested in, but not had the time to do.

The other NC with the 750 engine is sometimes around the local area. And the owner is a member on the forum, although he didn't build it, I believe he did some finishing touches and got it mot'd etc.

I have acquired a set of 750 carbs and the airbox. I am just waiting for the price from a courier and I should then have the engine.
In the mean time I have started to get the bike to a rolling chasis. The rear hub is a bit of a mess and I need to do some machining on it but here it is as I started:

Are they a set of trick con rods in the back ground?

i'm looking forward to this build hoping to do something similar soon but i need to get some funds first keep it up

They are not con rods, they are adjustable offset bottom yokes I am making.

I now have an engine and I am hoping to pick it up in a week or so, then I can get on with sorting out locating it in the frame.
