hi again, have finally got to the stage where its just the side casings and rocker cover to go on, engine seems to turn ok with a socket on the timing bit bolt.
the thing i need to do now is set up the timing, but i dont have a clue as to what to do or how.
is there a detailed section somewhere on the forums [in english] that will help and explain step by step?
or maybe some has time to kill and could explain it here.
regards mark

I have lost my gk76a manual so can only quote for a 73a. You line the 'T' mark on the trigger (under left case) with arrow, then line the 'E' on the exhaust cam sprocket with the front of the case edge (where the cam cover bolts down), the number '2' will be at the top- from this '2' you count 20 pins along the cam chain and then fit the inlet cam with the number '3' at this link, if the 76a is the same as the 73a you will now have the cutouts on the end of the cams facing each other and parallel to the case edge. Remember that the engine should be turned the way it runs so the chain is in tension from the crank up. Best thing you can do is build it like this and post up pictures as i can tell if i can see it.

think i managed to do it, set T to the mark, E facing the front of casing, 2 on front cam upwards and 3 on rear cam facing upwards too, the cutouts are facing each other and all seemed to fit together ok.
also noticed that it now seems easier to rotate using a spanner .
1 silly question tho, anyone know where the earth lead for battery connects to? thought it went on starter motor but cant remember lol
