Hi All,

I wanted to change a few bearing on the bike, and the cost is stacking up fast! Does anyone know if the nc30 front wheel bearings are the same as any other models? eg CBR, VTR etc? I'm trying to find the best prices!

PM rick oliver or call him mate, honda genuine bearing are cheap anyways....somin like 18quid for bearing and new seal . just bought some myself.

Recently bought some SKF bearings for my 750 (same as 400) from Simply Bearings for less than £12 delivered. Try your local bearing stockist for quality bearings. 6004 2RS is the front fitment.

There's those mentioned above or you could try someone like Bikebearings.co.uk (I've used them before & are good) or the likes of Wemoto. No harm is shopping around.

It's the same bearing used on at least this many bikes...

nc23, 27, 29, 30, 35.
CBR600 95-8.
VFR750 95-8.
CBR900 92-99.

And probably loads more besides.

The reason I put the post up was because I went to my local bearing traders and got a bit mugged for some SKF bearings (good though they are).

Thanks for the list of other bikes that use the same bearings, I've found some good deals on ebay just buy searching for those.

As I go through replacing bearings on the swingarm etc, i'll try and post up the best prices I find and the sizes etc. Hopefully that will help some other people too since the cost of them racks up fast by the time you've done a few!!

There's lot of cheap Chinese bearings on ebay, great if you want your front wheel to lock up at 100mph

decent bearings are cheap anyways so why buy shit ones. plus if you buy from decent lads or firms the mark up they use are next to nothing on bearings.
