Just wondering if anyone has rebuilt their Showa rear shocks. My mates CB has sprung a leak. I can't seem to find anything telling you how to replace the seals in the Showa shocks.

The shock contains highly pressurised nitrogen gas. It's not a home mechanic job to rebuild them.earthbound14 wrote:Just wondering if anyone has rebuilt their Showa rear shocks. My mates CB has sprung a leak. I can't seem to find anything telling you how to replace the seals in the Showa shocks.
Sure, you can rebuild them. I too have been looking for a rebuild kit. Google "Showa rebuild," and you will come up with plenty of how-to's (though maybe not specifically for a 400SF).amorti wrote:The shock contains highly pressurised nitrogen gas.
