Rear Brake Tight

Hi
I just changed my rear disc and pads and the disc was really worn.
When i operate the rear brake it doesnt seem to back off enough as the wheel is very tight to turn.
Is this because the disc and pads are new and need to wear in or is the problem because the pistons are not retracting.

Any help much appreciated

when you changed the pads, were the pistons sliding back into the holes smoothly and fairly easily..if they were a bitch to push back then yeah, i would say the pistons need cleaning.
for the sake of a few quid, you could strip the caliper down, get the pistons all shiny clean and replace the seals, bleed the system and jobs a good'un

Problem Sorted, took pistons out and give them a good cleanthey were pretty bad.
Put back together, new fluid and the brake works better than it ever has.
Thanks Hardnut
