Hello all, I purchased a NC29 today which seems to be in good mechanical health, however it came with a certificate to prove it had a 33bhp kit installed. The previous owner is unsure whether the kit is still in place. Is there a sure way to tell and also how to remove the restriction in place please?
The certificate states the device is a blade, device code B2-NC29-K25, details and dimensions are:
Outer diameter = 38mm
Inner diameter = 17.3mm
Inner diameter = 13mm
Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

They are basically large washers, a metal plate with a specific size/shaped hole in the middle, fitted between the carbs and the cylinder head. Whip the airbox off, open the throttle, move the sliders across and look through the carbs. Should be able to see them if they are there.

The other way, is if it runs out of puff at about 160-170km/h then it's restricted, if it pulls through to 180km/h+ it's not. If it hits a brick wall at 180km/h, it sill has he electronic top-speed limiter, otherwise should clear 190km/h. On a private road

I'm not sure about that. The restrictor restricts air, he fuel then matches the restricted air. At no point is/should the bike be running lean. The restrictors will cause turbulence in the intakes though, which the bike won't like particularly at tickover.

If it's got any in there!
I thought my CB-1 was restricted when I got it... turns out, it just felt very slow after a year on a 955i Daytona!
