eBay
Seems like an interesting idea given the problems I've had of late with my engine limiter, but I wanted to ask for opinions first, is this something that might help or something to be avoided by the plague? I'm a little bit skeptical given that it's not an official Honda part, and given that it's coming from China (which with all due respect, doesn't exactly have the best reputation in the world for quality, reliable products).
Any thoughts?

Personally, I wouldnt touch it with a bargepole. The seller only has 2 feedback and has only been on ebay since June. Also, it seems a bit excessive with the claims of what it does.
No horsepower limit
Higher Rev Limit
Removes Speed Limiter
Improved Timing Curves
Increased Spark Energy
Improved Throttle Response
Easier Starting
It looks a bit too golden egg to me. If you do want another cdi, give Graeme France a call.

To be honest I'd never really thought about replacing the CDI, it's just the fact that it said it was a derestricted one that got me wondering. Who's Graeme France anyway?

it was me ive replyed to the pm ,I got it for a mate and he said it worked... so I left good feedback. What I didnt realise is that he hadnt rode the bike, when he did we realised a problem!. The limiter is set to 10500rpm so his is a jap bike so I put it on me uk spec and gave it a try still 10500rpm so its definatly a limiter. all i will say is be carefull what you buy I wouldnt have touched it, not that some chinese stuff is crap as good stuff comes from there. but as a rule I dont buy electrics or alloy parts from them. as electrics generally dont work for long and the alloy isnt pure so breaks easily. I agree the spark intensity is up and it does advance the ignition. on tickover it would idle (very smooth)200rpm more than the honda one and seemed to go like stink upto 10500rpm. For the money I would say steer clear and buy a s/hand one. or a programmable one which someone sells on here Hope this helps Russ :D

You get two type's of ecu one has a blue and the other has a gold sticker.
Gold is apparently the one to have .

Shall I assume an ECU is the same thing as a CDI? If so, what price you looking for?
