Hey,

In stock form there is one connection from the negative on the battery, this is the earth lead from the battery to the frame, the earth point is on the main frame itself.

Where the engine mount bolts go through the frame you will find two that go in from the back (one each side) that have space on them

If you look just below the one on the right side of the bike you will see a tapped hole that the earth strap bolts to. I think its an 8mm bolt.

The starter motor earths itself to the engine, the only lead that comes off it is the positive big thick black cable, this runs to the starter solenoid, the other lead from the starter solenoid (smaller red one) goes to the positive of the battery.

hope that helps, if you get stuck whack a pick up of the area i describe (right side rear engine mount and i:ll circle it for you)

awesome.

remember when starting a dry v4 they can be a bastard to get going.

Make sure the vaccumn tap is working properly.. full choke no thorttle

crank it over for 5 long seconds (1-thousand, 2-thousand) etc.

Leave it 3 or 4 minutes and try again using full choke and not throttle and it should start... the carbs take ages to fill up and the fuel only flows with the vaccum hence engine cranking.. if you just keep trying to start it in small burts it doesnt give time to fill the carbs.

If you find one fo the carbs over-flowing after they fill up it is probably a stuck float.. tapping the float bowl with a screwdriver handle should unstick it and it should seal / work fine then on in.
