Does anyone know what the threaded hole is for on the left hand side at the back of the frame just above the left step holder?

Yes of course, the type of bike helps, which I forgot. It's on all NC30 Frames. It's part of the frame casting, which has a machined hole with internal thread but I cannot find any parts diagrams, service manuals, Haynes or user manuals which show what it could be used for?

Just checked your avatar picture, that's a classic! (sorry for the thread jack!)

I do know someone that has the torque arm fitted to an NC and does claim it makes a difference. :?

Excuse the ignorance but why have this on the NC30 frame if it was for a part that was only ever used on RC30's?

I've seen it done with a HOWTO guide although it was a large number of years ago and I've not been able to find it since.

Essentially you remove the plug from the LHS of the swing arm, few RC30 bits and you have it. Only works on the NC30, the NC35 has a different mounting for the rear brake.

Before you go "*cool*, lets try it" however even MotoGP bikes don't have torque arms on the rear brakes and if there was any advantage to it *they* would have it. From that I figure its not worth the weight penalty even if there is some advantage.
