3EN2 carb settings?

Post by tsn73 »

I got into my carbs this weekend for the 1st time. The bike's response wasn't as crisp anymore and I decided I'd been procrastinating enough and time to fix it. I also had the intention of installing a jet kit but found out the hard way it was for a 1WG which uses different carbs from the 3EN2.

Anyways, I can't find any info on what the "stock" settings were for this bike. I'm at sea level, running stock airbox and exhaust with functioning exup. The pilot jets had no markings on them and the mains were 82.5 in 2 and 3 with 90's in 1 and 4. I'm a carb newbie but this confuses me. I put in 82.5 mains in all 4. It runs better now but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the smaller mains or just the thorough cleaning. I pulled one plug (#4) after running hard and it looked fine. I still have a bit of a stumble when trying to give it instantaneous full throttle from idle.

Can any of you with 3EN2's tell me the jets and settings you're running over there in England and if they differ from stock?

Much appreciated :D

i think they should have different jest on the outer two compared to the inner two, its to do with the outer two running cooler than the inner. Think the larger ones should be on cyl 2 and 3 but im sure someone will be along soon enough and let you knowe if thats correct!
