-sounds like something loose, resonant vibration maybe??
Has it always done this?? I doubt the revs restrictor would have anything to do with the revs that low??

hi thanks. no it started about 2 weeks ago when i was riding in havy rain. i disconected the rev clock today, but it didnt change, but the i noticed that the restrictor box was coverd in black tap. i took it off and found that all the electrics for it was in a clear plactic contaner, so i thought that water could have got in and fried it??
another than that the only thing i can think off it the CDI?

Does it clear after these revs?? Does the bike shake/vibrate at all??

no it stays, yea the bike shakes and vibrate when it happens. could it be the CDI?

plug the speedo back in to the main loom, this is important.
check your fuse box for blown fuses.. esp the one that runs the dash.
if you had a speed limiter de-restriction M-Max box and its buggered (hard thing to do) you can get a simple resistor mod to replace it.
check all related wiring from the speedo AND tacho from the clocks back to the CDI unit.
doubt its the CDI as they are sealed waterproofed blocks. could be a knackered connection or wire.

i have been on my nc29 1990 for a month now and have exactly the same problem but at 5,000rpm in every gear. however knock it up to top gear and cruise for about 5/10 mins at bout 30mph (very boring) and it works all good until stopped. very strange. my speedo stopped working too. what and how should i check things to solve my problems. many thanks, luke.

start a new thread(topic) with your problem gilo and you will get much better feedback!!!!!
your problem sounds very similar to samh and might be the exact same thing.
