1986 NC23 Aero blowing ignition fuse:

Afternoon all,

Just wondering if anyone had experienced continual blowing of 10a ignition fuses at all and could offer and idea where to look for the fix? Rode the bike home from work last night absolutely fine, but started it (at 0550hrs this morning) and it just cut out, and when I pressed the electric starter there was nothing at all. Mightily pi**ed off, I just left the bike and drove to work instead, choosing to have a look later.

I found in the fuse panel a fuse called the 'ignition' fuse so checked it an it had blown. Replaced it with the spare 10a, the bike didn't turn over fully and its blown again. I have no spares to check but I was wondering where I should look, namely is there anywhere specific that can cause this or is it a general check of the whole bike??

Any help would be very greatly appreciated as my NC23 was supposed to help with reducing increasing financial costs but its doing the opposite (4 sets of new plugs in the last 12 months to name but a few costs) and I'm getting to the point of losing my temper with it, which I dont want to do. I love the bike and everything about it but can't keep it running for very long without an issue...

Cheers all,

Mark.
