Hi finally after 2months,i got my GK71B delivered the other day.The last time i saw it running,was at the beginning of Jan.Anyway on thurs i put a new battery on and she fired up 3rd turn.I road it uaround the industrial estate a few times.
Come yesterday,she turns over fine but wont fire properly and backfires.Petrol tank dubious inside,rust?.Put new fuel in,was almost empty.Am i looking at gummed up carbs,dont think it is electrical.

Hi Jim,
Assuming you done the normal tests- connections, plugs, ht lead and plug cap connections i would be looking at the carbs.
