About three week ago had a problem with my NC23 over fueling @ 10+ rpm, and the bike would die. My mechanic sync my carbs and fixed a loose wire on the fuel pump. After that the bike stopped dieing but it still run sluggish.

Monday this week started dieing again, so tonight i bypassed the fuel pump, ran the pipe from the tank into a filter and then into the carbs, and it runs awesome... Didn't have the time to take it far out, and really test the difference, but I could feel the power difference from get go.

i am planing to replace the fuel pump or have it check out...

Just wanted to know is anyone else running there CBR without a fuel pump, and what importance does it have?

The tap on the tank sits lower than the fuel inlet on the carbs, hence the need for a fuel pump.

I also ran it without a fuel pump- no worries. Just don't run it on reserve I guess.
