RVF RUNNING FLAT UNDER LOAD???

Hi All
Went on the first track day of the year yesterday at Donington and had nothing but problems (apologies to the lads in inters if I was in the way).

The has HRC cdi, carb kit, carbon airbox, new plugs, unknown air filter but everything has been great the last 3 track days.

The bike seems flat under load all the way through the revs right through the red line its like im just waiting for the power to kick in. (i know i shouldnt but thought it might clear something) but every now and then the power would kick in for a split second.

So, stripped the carbs, cleaned and blew out the jets, checked plugs to make sure the gaps hadnt been closed putting them back in, changed fuel which seemed to make it rev smoother and crisper whilst ticking over and revving. There are no misfires so dont think its a plug but not sure if its a coil not working under load as the power did kick momenterily, so its making me think cdi? coil? dodgy plug? so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I would check your valve clearences first make sure they are all in the right range. this can make your bike seem flat. :peace:

I had that on my nc30 and it was a single dodgy plug.

All four plugs sparked ok when I checked them but held at 3 or 4k revs, one downpipe was noticeably cooler that the others.
