Coolant Levels and Reg/Rec wiring

Hi guys,

I just re-attached my radiators and put 2 litres of correct coolant into the NC30. However, I had a little leak where I had to tighten the thermostat bolts. The reservoir level has dropped a little below the lower line.

Will this be ok to ride tomorrow, or should I get another 500ml in there before I ride anywhere?

Cheers

The only way to check for sure is to run it, and keep an eye on the temperature. It will need to operate the thermostat at some point so it might be worth keeping some water with you and take it for a ride. Is the rad full? It should be and as long as the temperature remains stable then all should be fine.

Cheers Pikey.

However I've now made the mistake of checking my reg/rec connections and have now put them back wrong!
They're not on a plug so does anyone know which way they go? The 3 yellows on the small connectors, I assumed, but I've tried the red and green both ways round and I'm getting no power.

I know it looks messy!

you will have blown your main fuse by getting positive and negative wires mixed up lol
connect all 3 yellow wires on bottom "doesnt matter which order".
then connect positive "red/white" on left and negative "green" on right and change your spade fuse 30amp

Which fuse is this, Thrasher? I can't see any 30amp fuses on the wiring diagram or fuse box itself.

It is in the starter solenoid thingy - right hand side of the bike, unhook the main fuse thingy and it is in there.

This might be the one on the right hand side of the subframe just to the side of the battery mate.

Beaten to the post again, damn you fast typers....

all the fuses are located in the fusebox under the rear seat. except the main fuse... this is integral with the starter relay which is located on the right hand side of the bike, just ahead of the coolant bottle ;)

edit.. you may be slow typer pikey, but still faster than me
