29 Swingarm question...

Are the bearings for the swingarm located in the swingarm or in the frame, or are there bearings in both the swingarm and frame.

(like for instance the rear wheel i.e a bearing in each side of the wheel and one in the sprocket carrier)

There is a needle bearing roller on the chain side, and two ball bearings on the brake side. These are in the swingarm, it's a pretty straightforward, standard arrangement.

The chain side butts against the frame, this ensures correct chain alignment. The brake side has a screw-in spacers which aligns everything into the frame.

I have most of the measurements to hand if it helps.

Cheers chaps the reason I ask is I am getting a frame powdercoated and didn't know if I needed to piss about getting bearings pressed in and out.

Got my frame and swingarm powdercoated + tons more. Dont forget to get them to mask it all off properly as its a right bastid to get the stuff out of threads and other holes. Cant think of owt else i had to do or found i should have done off the top of my head.
What colour have you picked ?

Done plenty of powdercoating in the past...have dremmel will sand lol
