to this
so i spent this weekend stripping the bike down since my accident, never done it before, bit of a pain but not too bad. armed with my trusty haynes explains and the never old 'simply remove'. theres nothing simple about removing the swingarm from the frame.
the bike must have took a bigger hit than i first thought cos the engine mounts have snapped clean off of the head of the engine, so gonna get the frame tested to see if its straight.

anyone know where i can get hold of a new head for my engine??

i high sided a while ago, forks bent, engine casing snapped, lower rad broke, rear suspension destroyed and fairings in the skip.
found out today getting the frame sorted is going to cost a small fortune, that and all the parts that i need i may has well buy another one instead

had me thinking though, thats another nc30 off the road, theyll be a rare sight before we know it

Kenny, at work at the minute, so can't see the photos. Take it it's in a bit of a mess. If that is the case, why not just find a new one and either keep for spares and sell parts off. Take it you didn't claim on insurance. There are a couple of nice ones on the site, but it's that time of year when prices are at their peak. P.s. finally said godbye to the Ducati, so down to one NC30 at the minute

if most of your parts are in good condition and you only need a few bits why not buy a frame from g france or geoff and build it back up,it might take a while but you can go to town on it and have a kick ass 400R in no time

hksooie- you got rid of the duke?? why??
i spoke to some frame straightening experts today, and to get it on the jig, straightened etc is gonna be about £250-£300, seems a bit steep really, dont think its worth it.

ill have to add up the costs of buying a frame and all of the parts i need, over buying another bike.
would like to rebuild it tho, but with another frame obviously.
it needs
frame
engine-complete front head(how much is that gonna cost??)
rear shock
complete front end(electrics, brakes.calipers ok tho etc)
and other small bits that smashed to pieces.
how much is a new frame to start with

Sorry to hear about your accident, but as already mentioned its possible to build it up bigger and better as it were. Frames with V5's aren't very expensive you shoud see change from £80. If your forks need replacing why not go for a Ducati front end?
http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... =17&t=2459" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; good luck with the rebuild.

I've got a spare NC30 frame if you (or anyone else) want it for a track bike but it's never been UK registered.
This one infact[1]
