Just a quickie. Are there any side effects if I disconnect the speedo on my nc30? I was running a mph convertor (blue jobby) which I believe frees up the kmph restriction but does taking this and the speedo drive off reinstate this? had issues dissconecting the speedo clock so have left it attached. Many thanks.

The converter does not disable the restrictor, but as it cuts in at 180kph, your "converted " dial needle will now operate the restrictor at 180mph.
Do not disconnect the 3 wire socket.
Disconnecting the cable and converter will have no adverse affect, I assume for track use only.
Dave.

If you disconnect the speedo you'll trip the 'limp' mode, and it won't rev past something like 5,500rpm I think (not tried it) just whip the cable out as said above
