I was looking at the Bridgestone website last night to see if they make anything stickier than the BT090 and they no longer list the 90's and there recommendation is for 160 18" rear for the VFR. Does anyone know if the BT090 will be around for much longer? I dont really want to go up to a 160 section, but maybe its inevitable.

sv650, er650, gsx650 (?), Sumo's, etc all now run 160 on 4.5 rim, with 120 front on a 3.5. I believe all the tyre manufactures are saying 160 on a 4.5 rim as best application as well. Honda knew what they were doing back when tyres were crap, but with the new tyres it's a new game.
So unless you have a 3.5 or 4.0 rear rim you might think about 160. It opens up the the tire options imensly.
016 is also as good as a 090, I think. and +1 for pp2ct's :)
(your results may vary, and you knew all that anyway

'016's arnt avaliable in a 150/60 18 tho, had the get a 160/60 for my Triarm (before I changed to 17" wheels)
I would shop around for 090's? I'm sure somebody somewhere has some stashed, they're not going to become obsolete overnight?
