I have been offered a running CBR6 for £300.

Bike has been sat in my mates garage for a few years so has no MOT, tax etc - but is apprently in good nick & starts fine?

Option 1:
Strip & service, tart up and flog with MOT etc

2: break the bike and sell as spares, have broke 3 bikes before and made GOOD money out of it.

3: drop the motor out, check valve shims etc - fit to my Triarm along with carbs, exhaust - will have the complete bike to hand so all parts avaliable - sell the plastics, forks, wheels, frame, swingarm etc on ebay & get my money back. :blowout:

Can anyone who has made a CBR4/6 please tell me what parts need swapping (electrics?loom?) and give details of the frame mod please?

Thanks! :rocks:

Cut off the LhS top engine spar, weld back on about 5mm wider.

Tempting as it is, I reckon it's not worth the hassle nor the loss of (the noise from) the gear cam setup.

The bikes immaculate, 28K, Honda serviced up to 26K, 100% original down to the exhaust, garaged since 2002??

Too good to rob & plunder... :?

I think I shall give it a full service & fettle, go from there.... :)

Yeah, please don't ruin the 400. Whenever someone does this mod it seems they soon sell it on, only leads me to think it ruins the bike.
