I bough a rvf a year ago, i started once but as the carbs were so dirty I tried to clean them n messed them so I bought another set.
I wanted to know if the engine would start with the carbs on without the air filter. My vfr 750 would was wondering as I tried?

I was using a carb cleaner spray that I used on my vfr, but the thing is about to start but won't So probably I should look elsewhere like spark plugs / spark.

I have used carb cleaner straight under the headstock and it catches and fires..
I'll bet you have killed the plugs, so, as per 10% of all NC posts - get them out, dry them in the oven or on a gas hob, let the fuel evaporate from the bike.
Get it charged up
Make sure the vacuum hose is on the right spigot and tomorrow..with full choke and no throttle..it will start. If not catching asap, spray under the top yoke and keep going..
good luck
WHat is the history of it as well? When did it last run?
