Anyone got a Hagon unit and can say what it's like? I have enquired with Maxton and £486 for their cheapest rear unit (no doubt an exceptional bit of kit), the Hagon at £275 could be more tempting for now...

I'm soon to take delivery of a rather nice 4dx and to be honest, if i'm to stand any chance of taking an (occasional!) pillion, i think the rear will need to be much firmer.

I've got an EMC shock on mine, much better than the Hagon with high and low speed rebound.

If you want a cheap alternative then fit the R6 red spring shock with an extention piece - Karla can probably sort you out. Change the spring for a lighter one though.

It can do, if you fit a longer adapter

Yes, you need a 2006-on one. Most have red springs but I've seen ones with yellow or silver. The model codes are 13S or 2CO. I need to get out more

Hey Kayla, what sort of coinage for one of your adapters to fit these shocks?? PM if you like

Also, would this mod be no good with the standard R6 spring or is the suggestion that these are just too stiff for the FZR?
