Have anyone replaced the crappy NC35 rear brake caliper with a new on from another bike?
If so, from what bike?

Mruehl34 with his NC35 superb track bike...but with an HRC one Maybe Lasse (L.Svedberg on here) did one too, but he changed on his track bike NC35 to double sided swing arm now.

I have just recently fitted a GSXR front end and GSXR Rear shock. The only thing I`m not satisfied with now is the crappy rear brake!

Rebuild it? Polish up the pistons, fit new seals, put a braided hose on it and new pads and it'll be fine.

Even in their best condition I reckon the back brake is pretty crap, it's just a 'trait' of these bikes and could also be to do with geometry, weight distribution etc not just the actual caliper.

There are no cheap bolt on options, but I'm sure quite a few different sorts of calipers could be adapted to fit with a bit of work.

I recall someone (Lasse?) fitting an 80cc motocross bike caliper, but this was to save weight I think, not for an overal performance improvement (still might have been better though!).

It`s going to be fine but it`s still going to be a crap rear brake
also one of the reasons I want to change it out aswel is that one of the pistons is completly stuck and wont move at all..

Yes, lasse got a RM250 front caliper fitted I think. I Think I`m going to drop him a PM about that. It looks OK for a replacement but I dont know about it`s stopping force.

Shall have to keep an eye on this thread. Gonna see how well I can get it to back into corners on the standard hw (cant right now but want to be able to do it), but if its crap when you really start using it alot would be good to look at other options

Here it is, RM85 front caliper on the NC35. Needs a bit of machining to clear the wheel, but nothing major. Also the brake hanger needs some altering, and by the way, the disc has been made way smaller as well...Can't speak for brake performance, but it's sure feathery in weight!
