15t front and 40t on the back are standard sizes for the NC30.
I run 14t/40t. Better acceleration without compromising the top end much.

I run 14/44. Plenty of acceleration but no top end and my speedo is way out.

so 14tooth front and standard rear is the way to go? how much does this improve the riding acceleration wise and top end wise. How much does it throw the speedo out?

This is an NC35, not an NC30, yes?

Standard gearing is 15/38 for NC35 - is that what you're running at the moment?

Probably just as easy to add +2 to the rear sprocket. Front sprockets are a little dearer in Aus, unless you're running 520 gear.

what do you expect from top end now with changes?

im gonna drop a tooth on the front and tempted to up to 42 rear but i dont want to lose to much top end, because its fun to get that torque on the motorway when over taking.

I ran 14/43 on a rvf for a couple of sessions at lydden and 1st gear was unusable. Id guess top speed to be no more than a ton but fuck me does it pull hard.

Basically i want the bike to pull hard and have my speddo out as little as possible. I want to feel like shes going faster then what she really is, i have only ever gotten to top speed once so the top end doesnt worry me to much, i do drive on the highways sometimes (up to 120km speed limit).

I should have said earlier this is a NC35
