fitting braided lines, few questions - Rear - do i have to fit the rubber bungs and little bracket to the new line from the old - ie the one that fits onto the rear hugger or do i just cable tie the new one somewhere. it seems a bit longer than the oem one and I dont want it flapping about all over the place.
front, details of where i need to route the new lines would be a help, ie two lines now instead of one. Pics to help me would be great. I am fairly happy where i will put them but do i just cable tie them to the fork?
any help appreciated, tips/hints on bleeding the brakes would be welcome too as i have obviously had to drain all the brake fluid out to fit the lines and i hear it will be a nightmare to get back to normal.

yerah use the old bracket for the rear one will be alright like that.
Fronts easy route them same as oem ones straight forward job, oh and to bleed them i have found the quickest way without using the bleed nipples.
Take the top off the reseviour put the bike on the stand or get someone to sit on it and shake the brake lines, this makes and air bubbles rise into the reseviour, while you shake the lines have someone pumping the brakes
works for me everytime

You can either use the existing rear bracket or you could just use a P-clip at the nearest hugger mounting bolt. Depends if your replacement line has the rubber grommet as the braided lines are probably a smaller OD and won't fit snugly in the old grommet without some butchering.

yes, after looking again, the old line is much thicker than the new braided one so although i could put the new line thru the old clip, it would hold it tight (but it would hold it in place). I went for goodridge braided lines, no rubber grommet but there is a peice on the line which is loose and i could use that at the point i clip it to the hugger. oh well i will just have a go.
i really should put pics on.
As for the front, they dont go the same route as the old do they as i now have two lines, there is only one on there at the moment? I have to refurb the calipers first anyway as the rubber boots are disintegrating, so i have time for a good look while i wait for the parts.
Thanks for the help.

If you haven't got them yet go to helmobile and quote "Forum" to get a set of 3 for £58. Great quality too, HEL.
