i know NC29s like the back of my hand......!
on Sunday a mate & i are going up to Walsall to look at a NC23.
its not taxed/MOTed and is in Smoky Joe colours.
anything i can look out for on this thats different from a NC29?
i cant ride one as they are too tall for me! so i cant check the gear box!
The paint job is not a concern but i will be checking for further reasons why it was done...

I have had both machines in my time there is nothing that I can think of that would need a special look on a NC23 that you would not check on a 29..
The one obvious thing is that the nc23 will be a older bike hence more care is needed when checking bearings and the like, but to be honest a well looked after bike is a well look after bike regardless of age..
Not much is interchangeable from bike to bike which is a shame if you have 29 spares..
I would really like another nc23 just a shame that most are way past it now, hope you find a good

Fork seals go if stood for any length of time, Reg/rect problems, front calipers sieze both on sliders & pistons(get the front wheel up on a stand & spin it), sprocket holder bearing goes, headlight switch melts if you use 55w bulbs & rear master cylinder screws sieze due to splatter from the rear tyre...
That'll do for the mo.
