when i park my NC35 overnight, a tiny pool of oil will leak out from the left side of the engine...

anyone has a clue to where to problem could be? i am thinking that my gasket is leaking. or could it be just a simple problem such as my drain plug?

hope to hear from you guys before i consult my mechanic to do repair works

Dude this forum is good for help but superman doesn't answer these threads, it might be worth removing the fairing and checking!
Top tip, dont wipe the drips away until you check all possible sources, it might drip from the lowest point but might have tracked down from somewhere else.

I wish I was your mechanic, I could retire early

check, filer, drain plug, sump seal, filler/dip stick cap, also check your rocker/camshaft cover cover, start at the top and work your way down with a good torch and some clean tissue,

as the pikey said, remove the plastics and look, as much as the internet and forums offer advice theres only so much one can do over the internet and finding leaks isnt an easy thing via the tinterweb.

Ha, came here for the same sort of advice, sorry if I thread hijack.

My NC30 is leaking oil from the left side, not enough to pool, but enough that the engine has oil on it and there's some in the belly of the fairings. Stripped the fairings (took hours due to completely rusted bolts...) and the oil appears to be coming from behind the frame, didn't look too hard as it was late and I was just happy to leave the garage with the fairings off. Heard something about coming out of a hole near the spark plugs, I can't really recall. Any ideas? Gonna buff up the engine, get some metal polish on all of the exhaust system with wire wool so I can see where it's blowing.

If the oil is coming from behind the frame it will most likely be coming from the rocker cover gasket. It might be a little bit of oil coming from the hole near the spark plug (this is teh end of the shaft that holds teh rocker arms) and you can get a bit of oil from this, but it is likely to only be a very small amount more a stain on the engine rather than a leak. If it is neithe of these then the next point down is the head gasket. But untill you get to look properly with a good torch it's hard to know.

Cheers, it's not dripping off the engine really, but behind the frame is quite wet. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

i thought so too. i cleaned the engine up and saw that the leak was coming from there. swapped a new seal in. however the leak is still persisting. what could be the problem?

I thought that the output seal could only be swapped with the cases in half??
