They don't seem to exist as an aftermarket item so I thought I would make my own. I'll update as I get the different stages done. The plan is to build the cowl onto the existing seat base so I don't have to feck about creating new fixing points, etc.

First on the menu was to strip the covering - hmmm, rusty staples

Next, trying to decide on the design. I eventually came up with this

My plan for this afternoon is to papier mache over this and form the defined shape of the cowl. Once that is properly dry, I'll cling film over it and papier mache again to make the mould. Once the mould is dry, I'll varnish/lacquer the inside. Then once that has hardened nicely for a few days, I can begin fibreglassing

Yesterday afternoon was fun, making glue from flour and water and papier macheing, getting mess everywhere

As you can see, hopefully, the speed hump design is now taking shape

That's the first stage done and drying. This will be the former for the inside of the mould.

I'm going to have to leave it at that until Sunday because I have to shoot down to Tamworth on Friday on a mercy bike mission (fixing a friend's Hornet to save her being ripped off by the stealer and her ex). I should have waited till I got a spare pillion pad
