am in the process of removing the rear hub from the swingarm and my circlip pliers are proving woefully undersized... does anyone have a link to a site or know anywhere i can buy a big enough set that wont cost me upwards of £60? (madness i know)
alternatively if anyone has any carfty tips on how i can get the fecker off without destroying it i would be most grateful.
thanks chaps!

I normally lever circlips off with a flat bladed screwdriver

I have a pair, but that doesn't do you a whole lot of good.

had to borrow some from a dealer mechanic friend. your local bike shop might be friendly enough to help for a beer or so...

was thinking of that- only porblem is, bikes laid up for winter, so that means lugging swingarm all the way to the garage. might be the only option though...

i had the same problem smoky, i used needle nose pliers and got my mum to put a small screw driver in when i had pressure on the pliers, saved me a few quid, time & bloody knuckles!

LOL! i tried that! except it was my MRS who helped. and didnt appreciate getting greasy apparently.
will give it another go later with a mate who can use a screw driver.
just out of interest mate, did you get the screwdriver underneath at the back? opposite where the gap in the circlip is? if so, how did you manage to lever it off?

I'd lend you mine mate if you were closer, I got them from screwfix and a set of 4 were only about £15.
