Jonno's RVF400!

Here is my NC35 which I bought completely stock aside from an aftermarket exhaust pipe. Since then I've done a 'few' things to it:

- Full Tyga exhaust system with carbon pipe (Professionally rejetted and dynotuned - producing 62.2rwhp)
- New Dunlop GPRA-12 Tyres
- New XW-Ring Gold Chain
- Installed Gold Calipers off a Honda VTR1000 SP2 ('05 model with 7,000kms on it) with HH rated Nissin pads
- Installed Translucent Blue Spiegler Braided Front Brake Lines
- Tyga carbon instrument cover
- Tyga carbon fuel cap cover
- Tyga clear Double Bubble screen
- Carbon triple tree cover
- Carbon tank protector
- LED indicators
- Progrip Grips
- Black Shorty Levers w/ red adjusters
- HRC and Michelin Man Stickers (+ 2hp each)
- HRC reservoir sock
- Raised the rear suspension
- Carburetors cleaned and balanced
- Cleaned swingarm and hub
- Polished random bolts and nuts
- Wheels sand blasted and powder coated pearl white
- Rear wheel spacer painted gold
- New wheel bearings
- Polished rearsets, pillion pegs and exhaust hanger
- Gave the front discs a good clean

Next to do:
- White Power Racing Shock with remote reservoir, fully adjustable for compression, rebound, preload\sag and height (my current shock makes croaking noises, it exaggerates every bump in the road and is way too soft when cornering. Getting an NC30 shock rebuilt was going to cost me as much, if not more than buying this WP shock so I've gone for this option ;) )
- New EBC Race Front Discs (mine are warped slightly)
- Carbon hugger or chain guard (going to wait until Tyga releases their hugger. If I don't like it or it's too expensive I'll go with their chain guard)
- Titanium Gear shift linkage rod is on its way to me
- Will also go -1 on the front when my front sprocket is showing some wear on it

Once I stick the shock and discs on it, I will be happy with how it is and don't want to do anything else after that aside from service it and ride it!

This is primarily my road bike but I have a track day booked for the first week of February 2011, which I'm looking forward to! I've also pulled a 13.2 run at the drags but was getting awful starts - should be able to get low-mid 12's once I drop a tooth on the front and sort out my race starts!

Yeah the white wheels look so much better than black. But if you're go white, I hope you like cleaning!

Luckily I clean my bike twice a week so it doesn't bother me ;)

Very nice Jonno!

It's a rare sight indeed to see a tastefully modified NC35 in standard clothes in Aus with all the chop shop bikes out there! Very classy 8-) Top job!

I met a guy the other day who had just bought an RVF400 which was absolutely thrashed. Scratched fairings, scratched tank, marks on the swingarm and frame, all the paint on the top triple tree was coming off, his sprockets were almost worn out and his chain looked like it was due for replacement years ago, his rear wheel nut and spacer were almost black they had that much shit on them, and one look at the engine tells you that the bike hasn't done the 14,000kms that the odometer said it had done!! He paid $9,000 for it.

For comparison I paid $6,500 for mine, and to date it has probably cost me a little under 9k. And although I'm a bit biased, I think it's fair to say that my bike is 'a bit' cleaner than his was.

Nevertheless, he was happy with his bike and he thought it was fully hektik cuzz bro, as was his $99 plastic helmet which wouldn't have done anything to save his head if the massive wobble he did when taking off had eventuated into an accident. It goes without saying that he was way too cool for gloves, boots, long pants or a jacket.

Brilliant on doing the white wheels as looking at my standard RVF i was wondering about doing my wheels.... you have definitely made my mind up :mrgreen:

Some good effort gone into that so I doff my cap in your general direction!

All you need now is to get it on that trackday and give us the lowdown on them alpha tyres.

*michelin man is too much..lol - french, no-one uses michelins on these bikes and you are running dunlop anyways! ;)

oi, diss me all you want but don't ever say shit about my Michelin Men! :down: They look cool ;)
