Hey all im tiring of the Tyga seat unit i currently have on mine so want to go back to a standard seat unit. I have 2 panels, although one is not in the best of nick.
What would be the best way of repairing these myself? As all i want to do is get them repaired, flashed white and put a number board on.
Ta.

I usually weld with soldering iron and cut stips of old plastics and melt in, on NC30 panels. I think the NC35 panels are a different plastic and harder to weld.

for Samace!!
I have used a soldering iron and welded mine with some ABS plastic rods bought of flebay!!! worked a treat, as good as new. Just remember to drill a small hole at end of crack to stop it extending then file or grind a groove along crack on rear of panel and then weld away
Hope this helps

Thanks for that sounds the easiest method. When you say drill a hole is that on either side of the crack or is it between the 2?

At the end of the crack, (where it finishes, actually on it) drill a small hole say 2mm all the way through the panel. this will stop the crack continuing up the panel.

I don't want to sound a geek here but it's called 'promelgation', where a crack can continue to spread, the advice above is very good advice, drilling the end of the crack actually stops the crack from continuing due to you removing a structural defect or it's natural path. Another tip is to weave more fibre glass on the rear of the panel at different direction patterns to help strengthen once you have welded.

Cool, I'll look forward to seeing the results of this.
Let us all know how you get on, with some pics and stages as you go along.
I have a few NC30 panels which I need to repair and was thinking the same questions!
The drilling advice sounds good too. I know it as a 'Stop drill/drilling' Its often used (even on some military aircraft to stop cracks in the airframes!
