hi everyone, im new to the forum so will say hello to start.
i have had my 89 nc30 for about a year and a few months now with no problems. not done many miles on it, changed oil about a month ago. sounded bad, spluttered to a halt and stopped. now wont start. any ideas where to begin?

I think you have broken it man!

You need to see where the oil went - If it has drunk 2.5 litres of oil adn then burned enough of it to worry you then there must have been some serious black smoke when revving it?

The spanners noise sounds ominous...main bearings gone is my inital thought.

CHekc your coolant too - is it clean adn watery or sdoes it have some frothy smeg in it?

ALso - drop the rest of the oil - you need to see if there are any bits of metal in it and if there are then you will be needing to check if the sump is full of brass shavings or steel ones.

Where are you based?
