Hi all
I am having a nightmare trying to source some 5DH7 carburettor needles for my GK73.
Does anyone know where i can get some?
Alternatively does anyone know of any other needles that will do the job?
i know bandit carbs fit but they are as rare as th gk73 carbs!!
My bike has been off the road for three months now due to this problem!!
I have tried NRP and they said they would get some made but that was two months ago and i've heard nothing!! Every time i try and ring the guy i need to speak to isn't there!!
Any help or advice greatly appreciated!!!
Cheers Griff

Hi,The guy I bought my bike off said the workshop that fixed the carbs(same problem) used needles off a gsxr600(sim year bike at a geuss)
I did'nt have the original 73a needles to compare to the 600 ones,so I cant tell you if they are exactly the same, but the bike runs well, not 100% tho(that could be other things)
There a guy here in new zealand that has heaps of carb stuff, but needed a needle to compare with what he has in stock

I had thought of using 600 needles. The only ones i can find avilable are 5DH2!!
I could send you one of the knackered originals for your guy to compare if you dont mind?
Cheers

Hi Griff,
Give factorypro a shout. They dont list the needle but may be able to help. Another long shot is MB Tuning, Mark who runs it is a Lambretta tuner but they fit Mikuni carbs as a tunning mod and have to rejet.
