The generator coil comes off in the generator cover so all you need to remove is the left fairing lower.

Right guys, someone has butchered a couple of things, firstly cant get the 2 philips heads screws out to take the stator out at they are rounder than a round thing....... Secondly where the 2 plugs plug into the bikes wiring harness the 2 wired one from the harness has had the connector chopped off..... Anyone got a wiring harness side connector so I dont have to chop the connector off the stator?
Bloody animals.......

Ok have changed stator bike started on the button. Let it warm up until fan kicked in and it sounds sweet as anything.....
Where will I get a 3tj manual as want to change oil, filters and coolant. Also what tyre pressures do they run?

Well done on the stator and the bike running
There should be links to a manual in the sticky thread at the top of the General or Workshop forums. Changing the oil isn't to difficult, use 10/40 Semi Synthetic and the drain plug is on the side of the sump by the side stand, the filter is a twist off and the same part as the 600R or ThunderCat.
Coolant is even eaiser. Take the bottom hose off to empty the system, mix the antifreeze and distilled water (50/50 at first then top up with water) and fill through the top. Run the bike without the rad top for about 5mins to get any bubbles out, top on and some water in the expansion tank at the back of the bike.

Take off the left side fairing (the one you had off for the stator) and look at the radiator, there's a hose from it at the bottom which goes to the engine, that's the bottom hose. The top hose comes off the top of the radiator .... technical innit

. Anyway take it off on the engine side, have a bucket ready.
2litres water, 1 litre antifreeze should do it.
Oil capacity of most is on the clutch cover near the filler ... I think it's 2.3 litres but if you buy 4litres you'll have the same oil to top it up later. You might find somebody like Buster's or M+P will sell you the lot and deliver it.

No idea ... but I use antifreeze from a car parts shop so I guess it will be ok. As long as it's safe with alloy engines it should be fine
