Love these bikes- crazy engineering, so unique and beautiful... just classic in every sense of the word.

I always wondered how many NC30s ever came out of the factories in Japan?

How I would love to see these bikes being made back in the 90's and rolling off the lines in Japan. It's funny but you can never imagine anyone buying one from new. Anyone know someone?

Only 20,000? I don't know why but I reckon it'd be more... there seems to be boatloads of NC30's in every country, not to mention all the spares bikes!

Is it possible to gauge the amount roughly by the VIN numbers or something?

On the honda press releases of the time they had estimated production numbers for each year of the nc30.

I think it was around 5000 for some of the popular years if I recall.

It would also be interesting to know how many of each of the different Models there were?

Which of the Models, in which country and which year, was made in the smallest number? There must be some paint schemes that are more desireable than others not just because they are nicer but also because less of those models were made?

Someone out there must have some official numbers, not just wild guesses?

Only Honda Japan will know. If the figures for each scheme were published, it would be in a Jap magazine.

I think even getting official UK import figures would be very difficult.
