My gk73a has trouble selecting neutral, is this an indicator that it needs a new clutch and if so how easy are they to do?

Have you adjusted the clutch cable? Are you sure the oil level is ok?

If these are good theres an outside chance the center nut is loose on the clutch but 99% difficulty in selecting neutral on the gixez is a sign the oils ready for a change.
