Isn't there somebody on here that does replacement downpipes for my NC30? pref stainless ones?

trying to restore the bike to as good as brand new as I can, ones on ebay will be same or worse condition than i have now, the pipes are ok just the clamp are as rusty as F**K!!!!!

If you want just the clamps search on ebay for 'NC30 exhaust clamp' theres some one there, £10.98 for 1 plus seal, £4.99 for just the clamp and £6.99 for a pair of clamps and no seals

No its the other end thats rusty, the clamp that bolts to the head.

Haven't had my pipes off yet, will the front clamps not just slide off the pipes? If they can then get them shot blasted and then paint them with vht or get them powder coated. As for the rear flange best bet would be a bit of elbow grease, rub it down, then mask the pipes off and give them a blast of vht :)

No, theres a lip both ends stopping it coming off, I'll have a closer look tomorrow and work something out.

The standard downpipes are made from stainless, but the bit where you put they join the rears and where clamp and gasket, etc. are is made of mild steel, and are notorious for rusting away to nothing. One option is to cut the mild steel bits off and get some stainless flanges welded on in their place. Not totally back-to-original, but they're hidden from view anyway and not going to rust up again.
