I won a speed de-restricor on the bay a couple of weeks ago made by a company called JEM electronics - apparently I unplug the harness from the speedo and put this thing in and job done . Never actually seen one like it as all it is is a black box with a connector on it - has anybody come across one of these before I attach it to my pride and joy :!:

The box is just a resistor that fools the CDI into thikningthe speedo is still plugged in.

Plug it in, go over 180kmh without the speedo restriction kicking in..job jobbed

Just out of interest, how much did it cost?

The other option is a speedo convertor for around £30 which makes the kph display read in mph so the restrictor doesn't kick in :peace:

Another way of getting rid of the topspeed restrictor is to take the speedo apart and cut back the disk that activates the speed restriction.

I think its been covered a few times over the years on how to do this. its not that difficult to do.
