Will they fit?

Hi,

Does anyone know whether NC35 Front brake disc's will fit and work on a standard NC30?

I know that the NC35 front disc's are sold as L and R part numbers and the NC30's are the same part number with no L or R difference. Obviously the brake calipers are differently positioned, upside down forks etc , but are the disc's the same size on both models and why the need to have specific L and R parts?

Over to the experts.

yes they'll fit and the rvf have the holes in them drilled in a pattern where the vfr is just a bunch of holes which look the same on either side.

Hi Royster,

have you fitted a set of NC35 disks to an NC30 and if so were the NC30 calipers and pads OK? was it a straight forward swap?

Pads wear to discs and vice versa, so if you're swapping over used versions, please take note of this.

I've got a pair of Braking discs on my NC30 - the discs are made for both NC30/RVF so it's certainly a straight swap.

Thanks guess who,

there doesn't seem much clearance on the NC30 discs against the fork as you look at the bike head on and I wanted to make sure that the NC35 discs didnt touch the NC30 forks,

You've put my mind at rest!

They have the same dimensions as each other, it's literally a visual difference i think. The discs from the following models will also fit, and there's bound to be some I've missed.

CBR400 NC23/29
VTR1000F Firestorm
CBR900RR Fireblade (unsure on which models exactly, but its the earlier 900's not later 1000's)
Later generation CBR600F's (after they swapped to the smaller disc bolt pattern)
