Picked up what may just be the worlds roughest CCM R30. It has been used in all weathers and this along with not having been washed has seriously taken its toll.

All the good bits, forks, calipers and other important bits are still in good working order and it still runs perfectly but the paintwork, frame and rear shock are in a terrible state.

The plan is to strip it to nothing and start from scratch.

I'll try to post some pictures of it but don't hold your breath!!

Me too, I got all excited thinking some nutcase was trying to dump an nc30 motor into a supermoto chassis....That would be an interesting bike.

Did a bit of stripping down yesterday, takes ages to get anything apart due to all the fittings being either rusted solid or snapping as soon as any pressure is applied.

yes it is the Suzuki engine, a lot less agricutural than the Rotax.

A bit more reliable too I believe? I'm qute interested in this project as I often see CCM's around for not a lot of money. Although quite a few of them have hideous fairings or subtle Union Jack paint jobs..

Much more reliable, my brother had the Rotax one before he got this.

The loom seems to be made from the cheapest wire possible as there are quite a few snapped or rotted wires but this may be down to the lack of cleaning.

I would say that if you can find a cheapish one then go for it. I payed £500 for this purely because I could get my money back with the engine if it was beyond repair. I recon I can have it back on the road and looking nice for another £500.
