KOSO Gauge

hey guys,

so I've hooked up my KOSO gauge to my RVF and powers up no problems but I can't for the life of me get an RPM reading, tried connecting to the coil and also wrapping around the plug leads but nothing.

just wondering if anyone has installed one before and can help me out. does it matter which coil you use, front or back? what pulse setting was/is used (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5)?

also can you hook up the existing coolant temp sender wire to the KOSO temp cable to get a digital reading or do you have to use the KOSO temp sensor and where would I install it?

cheers.

Do you have the instructions? Use the rev counter wire from the cdi and adjust the pulse and sensor settings to suit on the koso unit.

As for the temp sender replace the original sender with the one supplied by koso and plug n play, simples ;)

hey Drunkn, thanks for the reply..yeh i have the instructions..they're a little vague though

i'll have to try out your suggestions a little later as the bike refuses to start now...such a pain in the a**
it's not possible for the new guage to short out the bike is it? also just found a split in the fuel tube so that might be why as well..??

just want it back on the road  ...guess this is sometimes part of the territory with any sort of project

Stick with it, NC's are simple beasts at heart ;)

Hi.
For the speedo reading, do any of their adaptors fit, or have you gone for the magnetic sensor?
Thinking of getting this dash, so any "How-to" much appreciated!
Thanks!
