Hey guys,
Does anyone know if you can get mirrors for an RVF400 which bend back from the beginning of the stem (like the new R1 mirrors) so you can bend the whole mirror back for going through traffic etc..
Cheers

My wife's bike (NC30 but shouldn't make a difference) has a set of GSXR mirrors which fold right in, added bonus that I can actually use them... only fit through one bolt hole but seem to be solid enough, and imho they don't look to bad.

Wow, sounds awesome. Will definitely look into it. I like the idea of being able to bend the whole mirror back when parking/lane splitting so when you flip it back out, the actual angle of the mirror hasn't moved at all. So I won't need to adjust my mirrors every single time!
Any idea what year/model gixxer they're off? Also, do you have any pics by any chance? If not that's cool. Will definitely be getting these :D

Only images I can find (the black and grey one), hope they help, not sure what year they are from I'm afraid but you but K5 rings a bell? though might be a good idea to cross reference the pictures if you can to be sure.
Oh and meet Jayde my eldest!
All the best, Matt

I really like those mirrors, mate. I will definitely do some research into the GSXR mirrors as to which ones fold back, and then try them to see which ones will fit my bike.
This probably won't be for a few weeks atleast but when I do finally get to it I'll post it up here for everyone elses' reference :)
Cheers, have a good weekend

I'm running mirrors that a guy told me are GSXR K1 Mirrors. They fold back from the stem. I fucking love them :)
And they give awesome visibility too :D
I haven't seen any markings on them... but I'll have a better look next time I'm at my bike.

Well it looks like 02-06 mirrors have the same fitting but the 05-06 have indicators in them, so the 02-04 GSXR mirrors would be the go.

Lope and Matt, are these the mirrors on your bikes?
Which technically means you could get 05-06 GSXR mirrors with indicators in them to fit an NC30/NC35. I wonder if anyone has done this before

Anyone tried it/willing to try it?

Yep they look about right, personally I wouldn't go for the indicator version, though I don't think it would be to hard to make work, you could run the wiring down the nose cone...

99-02 R6 mirrors are a direct fit onto the NC24, spacing is 40mm I think.
Hmmmm. I have an NC24 and the wife has an R6

Hi everybody,
If i may add, i did a bit of searching and i came up with the following result.
Honda VTR 1000 firestorm mirrors (i think they would be looking even better on the bike) are also a direct fit, but, there are a few measurements one should take before buying.
Bellow i have added a picture showing, in my opinion, the most critical points that we must check before buying.
They are A,B,C and D.
Point A: Make sure the length is equal to the length of your original mirror, (If you still have it) If you don't, pop a question, i am sure someone here will tell you. This you must check so that the mirror can be bolted on securely.
Point B: Well, here is the tricky part. Point B looks like a spacer (If i am describing it correctly). You must see if it prevents the mirror from bolting on. If it prevents it, see if there is a way that it can be removed (I think it is welded).
Point C: The length of the mirror. This you must check so that you have a good viewing angle. (I think this one is ok)
And finally Point D: The length of the two bolts is (if i remember correctly) at 3cm for the nc35. If my memory serves me right nc24 and 30 are at 4cm, please correct me if i am wrong.
I would make a better description but i do not know the terminology in English (i mean in mechanics), so, excuse me for this.
